Call Tracking in Advertising Intelligence

A popular request that we receive is to have call tracking within Advertising Intelligence. Any thoughts?

I’ve specifically asked about call tracking, and was not given much information on call tracking services and call tracking metrics. We are also interested in another service (e.g. www.CallRail.com).

CallRail ties metrics to every call and text message/ SMS to any marketing campaign that captures customers. For instance, the system tracks inbound calls and various SMS text messages to a specific phone number placed in a variety of media other than digital ads. For example, a phone number placed in print, out-of-home, collateral, business cards, etc. This way, the agency and client can track any campaign. We are very interested in this as we have clients who use out-of-home (e.g. billboards, transportation, bus bench, etc.)

I’ve been trying to figure out how to integrate Call Tracking Metrics (www.calltrackingmetrics.com) into Business Center. If it integrated with Advertising Intelligence, that would work too. Just need to get the data into Business Center somehow so that we can have centralized reporting. Really need it desperately to eliminate waste and confusion in the reporting process.

News from the Vendasta roadmap, there will be a call tracking provider integrated into the Ad Intel product shortly. Those that use an alternate provider can port their existing numbers over. We’ll have to explore if that will pull over historicals. Those that want to start using Call Tracking to further boost the proof of performance of campaigns, will see it in the Ad Intel platform. In parellel, we’re exploring how to allow clients to add their provider to the Ad Intel platform. But that’s a whole other can of chips.

As the Product Marketer for Advertising Intelligence, I’m excited to let you all know that we have completed some important work for integrating Marchex call tracking into the product. At this time, we are able to surface call tracking information for Partners who run digital ads through Marketing Services. In the coming weeks, we will be looking at expanding this functionality to allow Partners and clients that use Marchex to connect their own accounts and view call tracking information on ad campaigns in Ad Intel.

Hi Erika, Ed, and all,

If some of our clients are running their own Google Ads, specifically, click-to-call campaigns can they purchase Marchex as an addon or must they run the Google Ads campaign through Vendasta? A standalone call tracking product would be great.

Especially if it was integrated into the Business App so all reporting is in one central location. We have been looking for something like this for a while and think it would be an easy sell.

Please advise and also please provide a link to the Marchex and any other info currently available on call tracking through Vendasta.
